Proportion of NSW Aboriginal students in the top two NAPLAN bands for reading and numeracy (2008-2018)

The National Assessment Program—Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) tests are conducted in May for all students across Australia in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9. NAPLAN results are reported along a national achievement scale, and are divided into ten bands. Six bands are used for reporting at each year level, however, not all bands are reported for each year group. The higher the band, the increasingly complex knowledge and skills demonstrated by students.
