    The dataset contains information about current and former government schools in NSW since 1848. It includes school classification, location (county) and years of operation. **Data notes:** * Schools that operated as various types of schools have multiple entries. * Schools with more than one name are listed under the most recent name of the school. * The name of each school starts with the main part of their name. Words like The, or Upper, or North are treated as subsidiary. * Schools with the same name are distinguished by numbers.
