  • Updated description of Age distribution of primary students in NSW government schools (2011-2018) from

**Data Notes:** * Data is collected mid-year, with all primary schools students considered to be full-time. * Students in distance education and Opportunity Classes (OC) are included with their appropriate grade levels. Students in support classes either in mainstream schools or schools for specific purposes (SSPs) are not included. * In most scholastic years there are a small number of students in atypical age groups. These have been included in the nearest band. This is indicated with an asterisk. For instance, of the 23 Kindergarten Boys in the 7-7:11 age bracket, up to 5 students are included from older age brackets. As a result, the sum of each row may not equal the totals reported. **Data Source:** * [Schools and Students: 2017 Statistical Bulletin](https://www.cese.nsw.gov.au//images/stories/PDF/2017-statistical-bulletin-AA.pdf"Schools and Students: 2017 Statistical Bulletin").
