  • Changed title to Age distribution of full-time secondary students in NSW government schools (2011-2018) (previously Age distribution of full-time secondary students in NSW government schools (2011-2017))

  • Updated description of Age distribution of full-time secondary students in NSW government schools (2011-2018) from

**Data Notes:** * Data is collected mid-year from government schools only. * Students in distance education and Opportunity Classes (OC) are included with their appropriate grade levels. Students in support classes either in mainstream schools or schools for specific purposes (SSPs) are not included. * Students in Years 11 or 12 can enrol to study as a part-time student or a full-time student. For the annual census, a part-time student is enrolled in less than 10 units, regardless of where those units are studied. All Kindergarten to Year 10 students are considered to be full-time. * In most scholastic years there are a small number of students in atypical age groups. These have been included in the nearest band. This is indicated with an asterisk. For instance, of the 58 Year 7 Boys in the 14-14:11 age bracket, up to 5 students are included from older age brackets. As a result, the sum of each row may not equal the totals reported. **Data Source:** * [Schools and Students: 2017 Statistical Bulletin](https://www.cese.nsw.gov.au//images/stories/PDF/2017-statistical-bulletin-AA.pdf"Schools and Students: 2017 Statistical Bulletin").
